0
  • Rajinikanth has made an incredible comeback at the age of 72! Yes, his film Jailer smashed the global box office and entered the 500 crore club with a bang in just 11 days. With this, the seasoned superstar added another 500 crore grosser to his collection, making him the owner of both the highest-grossing and second-highest-grossing Tamil films of all time. Read on to learn more.
  • Rajinikanth plays Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in Nelson Dilipkumar’s action-comedy “Jailer,” which was written and directed for mass consumption. Additionally playing leading roles in the movie are Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, and Vasanth Ravi. In the movie, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, and Mohanlal all played tense cameo roles.
  • Music was written by Anirudh Ravichander for the Sun Pictures-produced film “Jailer.” The technical team includes editor R Nirmal and cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan.
  • The action thriller, which Nelson directed, has been on an unstoppable roll ever since it began, and it shows no signs of stopping down. The movie saw sustained audience attendance and a significant increase throughout the course of the second weekend after earning over 90 crores on day 1 of its release. The result was the global impact of joining the 500 crore club.
  • Even if Rajinikanth’s act of touching Yogi Adityanath’s feet appears to have disappointed many people in the South, the Superstar’s Jailer is still exceeding audience expectations. The Nelson Dilipkumar-directed movie masala is still doing well at the box office on Day 11. Sacnilk claims that on its second Sunday in theatres, the film brought in Rs 18.5 crore in India. The amount is a substantial increase from the film’s overall Day 10 collection of Rs 16.25 crore.

According to a Sacnilk report, the movie has barely made Rs 477.6 crore so far. According to the report, the film has already made Rs 280 crore from ticket sales across the country, with an average occupancy rate of over 50% in the majority of Tamil Nadu’s cities and towns.
  • The most recent information indicates that Jailer has earned 283 crores nett, or 333.94 crores gross, at the Indian box office. The movie is a hit abroad; it has already made 168 crores in gross receipts. After an 11-day run in theatres, the combined box office revenue from domestic and international markets totals a massive 501.94 crores.
  • Jailer will bring in Rs 700 crore during its lifetime, according to a prior projection by film industry analyst Ramesh Bala. A chance exists for the film to surpass Rs 800 crore and break the record for highest-grossing Tamil film if box office sales keep up at the rate they are now. The top slot is now held by Rajinikanth’s 2.0, which the Superstar might take again soon.
  • The following project for Rajinikanth will be with TJ Gnanvel, a director best known for the Suriya-starring movie Jai Bhim. The present title of the film, Thalaivar 170, refers to Rajini’s total number of films. According to recent rumours, the movie’s name will be Vettaiyan. The actor is also said to be joining Lokesh Kanagaraj’s fictional universe, according to a different rumour.

Meet Pooja Tomar, a strawweight champion who has become braver by battling cyclones in real life.

0

As she continues to win titles, Pooja Tomar is hailed as the MMA scene’s next big thing in India. Her most recent exploits occurred on July 1 at the Noida Indoor Stadium during the Matrix Fight Night 12, when she competed on the Main Card against Russian Anastasia Feofanova. The 25-year-old had to work hard to get here in a nation where female competitors in combat sports are still comparatively uncommon, and now she has the opportunity to demonstrate her abilities to a global audience. When Tomar was a young child, his martial arts training began in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where he was raised. defended her Strawweight title by triumphing over her Russian opponent Anastasia Feofanova in the first-ever all-women’s main event of Matrix Fight Night at Noida Indoor Stadium.

Early in her youth, Puja Tomar began to think that the best way to become better at beating up boys was to follow Jackie Chan’s lead and master her martial arts. There was some repressed aggression that needed to be released, which contributed to the need to beat them up. But it primarily resulted from the urge to defend her mother, two sisters, and herself.

Tomar was yet another girl kid in a large family that placed a high value on the child’s biological sex. For the majority of her life, this patriarchy was the cause of most of her suffering. Another factor contributing to her sense of responsibility was the passing of her father when she was just six years old. Tomar eventually matured into a combat-tested fighter out of necessity.

When someone bothered or teased my sister for having a disability with her leg, I used to become incredibly upset, Tomar recounted to Scroll. “It was just the three of us. “I had begun hitting the boys over that. I used to watch Jackie Chan films when I was younger, and I believed I could steal some of his stunts and use them to my advantage against these boys. I simply gravitated towards martial arts then over time.

She was a multi-medal winner in both karate and taekwondo in addition to being a five-time national wushu champion. She quickly rose to become one of Indian mixed martial sports’ most recognisable faces.

So much so that the Muzaffarnagar native, who will defend her title on July 1 against Russia’s Anastasia Feofanova, is the current strawweight champion in the Matrix Fight Night.

The main push, both professionally and psychologically, came when she started competing professionally, despite the fact that the environment is very different now. Tomar did not hesitate to acknowledge that she did not start practising MMA out of interest, curiosity, or love for the sport but rather as a result of a string of tragic circumstances. She thought her mental toughness helped her become one of the best MMA fighters. She ascribed it to the sport’s inherent character as well as the struggles she had to face in her personal life.

“The kind of grief I’ve experienced in life has made me tough,” she claimed. “When I think back on how my mother had to handle the situation at home after my father passed away, the current issues seem very minor.” With those ideas, I grew stronger. Toh ye toh kuch nahi hai, phir life mein jab itna kuch jhel sakte hain. This is nothing when you have been through so much in life.

You never know where you’re going to get a hit or a kick in mixed martial arts, she continued. In wushu, I never felt that under pressure. I believe that once you have participated in MMA, you cannot feel intellectually unprepared for anything in life.

Fans urge her to “stay strong” as Mrunal Thakur sobs in a photograph and claims that she was “extremely low”

0

A few weeks ago, actor Mrunal Thakur spoke about being “naive” and “vulnerable” on her Instagram Stories. She posted a picture of her crying in a self-portrait. Many people were concerned for her welfare after seeing her tearful photo.

Mrunal posted an old photo of herself along with the caption, “Yesterday was difficult. I am, however, happier, smarter, and stronger today! Everybody has parts of their story they don’t read aloud, but I’ve chosen to do so with mine because perhaps someone else needs to learn the lesson I did.

“Taking it day by day! It’s acceptable to be innocent and defenceless, she said. On Reddit, the image of the actor in tears was posted. A Reddit member responding to the post said, “I hope she does better.” Stay strong, girl, another person said. You are among our top resources. Hope she is doing well, another person said. She deserves fantastic scripts because she is a talented actor.

My heart skips a beat when I am around this woman. She has a natural beauty that is quite striking. Just words do not do it justice. One more said, “I hope everything is all right.

Soon after, Mrunal attached a video and a description to the photo as well. “And that picture was taken at the time when I felt extremely low and couldn’t make it, but today I’m happy,” she wrote on Tuesday’s Instagram Stories. And, I made it, woohoo!” She laughed and cheered when the video came to a conclusion.

In a self-portrait when she was visibly upset, Mrunal posted it on her Instagram Stories. Yesterday was challenging, she wrote. I am, however, happier, smarter, and stronger today! Everybody has parts of their story they do not read aloud, but I’ve chosen to do so with mine because perhaps someone else needs to learn the lesson I did. Take each day as it comes, Mrunal continued. Being naive and defenceless is acceptable. According to Mrunal, who stated in an interview, “After putting that post out, I felt so calm. Sometimes you want to hear positive things, you want that push from someone. Most people no longer feel exposed. There are days when we feel down, depressed, or unconfident, but it doesn’t mean the term “depression” should be utilized. There is a fine line between being depressed and asking for help. Simply claim your vulnerability instead of being terrified of it, is all I’m saying. In 2012, Mrunal began her acting career with the television program Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan, then she rose to fame with Kumkum Bhagya. After appearing in films like Super 30, Batla House, Ghost Stories, Toofaan, and Dhamaka, she later made her Bollywood debut with Love Sonia in 2018. She also makes appearances in Telegu and Marathi films.

With Shahid Kapoor, Jersey was her final Hindi movie. The movie struggled to do well at the box office. The actor’s final Telegu film, Sita Ramam, starring Dulquer Salmaan, was a success.

There won’t be an auction for Sunny Deol’s bungalow. The Bank of Baroda explains why the auction was canceled.

0

The state-owned Bank of Baroda announced today that the auction notice for actor and BJP MP Sunny Deol’s property in Mumbai’s Juhu district had been cancelled.

Bank of Baroda put Mr. Deol’s property up for auction on Sunday in an effort to raise 56 crore through an online auction that will take place on August 25. Since December 2022, the Gurdaspur MP has been in arrears on a debt from the Bank of Baroda totaling 55.99 crore.

“Corrigendum to e-auction notice with regards to sale auction notice in respect of Mr Ajay Singh Deol alias Mr Sunny Deol stands withdrawn due to technical reasons,” the Bank of Baroda said in a statement today.

The bank announced on Sunday that the auction of the Sunny Villa property in Juhu will begin at 51.43 crore. The starting bid was set at 5.14 crore.

According to the bank, the property up for e-auction is 599.44 square meters and is located in Mumbai’s Juhu neighborhood.

Sunny Deol is stated as the borrower/guarantor, while the other guarantors are Dharmendra Singh Deol and Sunny Sounds Pvt Ltd.

The property is being auctioned off by the bank in accordance with the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act of 2022.

According to the notification sent on Sunday, the Deols can still settle their outstanding debt with the bank to avoid the auction under the rules of the SARFAESI Act of 2002.

Sunny Deol’s spokesman reacted, saying, “We are in the process of resolving this issue, and the issue will be resolved.” We recommend that additional commentary on the subject be avoided.”

The Bank of Baroda (BoB) retracted its notice on the e-auction of actor Sunny Deol’s home in Mumbai’s Juhu on Monday, citing “technical reasons” after the star allegedly failed to settle a Rs 56 crore loan.

In response to the bank’s notification, Congress today inquired as to who triggered the “technical reasons” for the withdrawal.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh stated in a tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Yesterday afternoon the nation got to know that Bank of Baroda had put up the Juhu residence of BJP MP Sunny Deol for e-auction since he has not paid up Rs 56 crore owed to the Bank. This morning, in less than 24 hours, the nation has got to know that the Bank of Baroda has withdrawn the auction notice due to ‘technical reasons’.” “Wonder who triggered these ‘technical reasons’?” he said.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol’s latest film, Gadar 2, a sequel to his smash Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, is expected to gross Rs 377 crore in India. The plot centres around Tara Singh, who must return to Pakistan to save his kid. Other than Sunny Deol , Gadar2 cast included Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur and many more artists.

Indian cuisine’s exotic dishes according to their states

0
  • Sikkim – Momos

Who does not adore momos? Momos and Sikkim complement one another well. The greatest momos you’ve ever had in your life will be served to you in Sikkim. The staple food of Sikkim is momos, which are thought to have Tibetan origins and are influenced by Nepalese cuisine. Momo is a little bundle of filled buns that is steam-cooked. Momo generally has two components: a cover and a filling. White flour and water are used to make the dough that forms the cover. To improve the texture of the momos, yeast or baking soda are occasionally also added to the dough. Originally, the momos were filled with ground beef, but through time, several improvements have been made that have elevated the quality of the dumplings.

  • Bihar – Litti Chokha

There is no need to introduce the mouthwatering flavour of Litti Chokha, which is enjoyed by all. You are cordially invited to experience Bihari cuisine in all its ghee-dripping splendour. It is made of wheat and sattu mixed with spices, formed into spheres, then dipped in ghee. The crunchy crust and textural qualities of Litti make it a culinary treat. Chokha is made by mashing boiling vegetables (the most popular being potatoes, brinjal, and tomatoes), adding spices, and chopping other ingredients like onion, garlic, and other aromatics. It is typically served with litti as a complementary delicacy.

  • Gujrat – Dhokla

Gujarat, where dhokla originated, is where this genuine food was first introduced. Gramme flour and chana dal are used to make this traditional culinary dish. Additionally, the meal is manageable and takes only 30 minutes to create. Dhokla is the ideal snack to have with friends while engaging in gossip sessions when paired with some chutney and chilli paste.

  • Maharashtra – Misal Pav

One of the most well-known Maharashtrian breakfast, snack, or brunch dishes is Misal Pav, which is distinctively Pune-born. It is a common street snack in Mumbai. With Pav bread, it is served with a tangy, hot, and spicy lentil curry prepared with moth beans. It is occasionally eaten with yoghurt to tone down the spice. Maharashtrians like it at any time of the day, despite the fact that it is a breakfast delicacy.

  • Punjab – Makki Di Roti and Sarso Da Saag

In North India, particularly in the state of Punjab, makki di roti and sarson da saag are considered staple foods. Despite its unappealing appearance at first, this classic Indian meal boasts a flavour that is both authentic and full of nutrients. It makes for the ideal complement to a drink of lassi for a satisfying and healthful meal.

  • Kerala – Appam

Any Keralan who is asked what their favourite dish is from their native country will vouch for stew and appam! I believe they are justified in doing so because appam appears to be a revolution in the food industry. It resembles a rice pancake with a crispy, paper-thin surface and a soft, substantial inside. No matter what you eat it with, appam will boost the flavour of that meal by a factor of a hundred! It is typically served with a southern-style stew, though, which consists of chunks of any kind of meat covered in a smooth, decadent, dreamy coconut curry that will make you sad when it’s gone.

The Transformative Impact of Social Media on Youth Mindsets

0

In the past two decades, the rise of social media platforms has brought about a revolution in the way the youth interacts, communicates, and perceives the world. This digital phenomenon has significantly changed the mindset of young individuals, shaping their attitudes, behaviors, and perspectives in unprecedented ways. While the impact of social media on youth is undeniable, it’s important to analyze both its positive and negative influences on their mindset.

Social media provides a platform for young people to express themselves, share their thoughts, and display their creativity. This avenue for self-expression allows youth to explore different facets of their identity and gain a deeper understanding of themselves. Whether through posts, photos, videos, or stories, young individuals are able to craft an online persona that reflects their interests, beliefs, and values. This empowerment can lead to increased self-confidence and a more positive self-image.

Social media has transformed the way young people perceive the world around them. The ability to connect with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives has expanded their horizons and increased their awareness of global issues. Through platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, young individuals can stay informed about social, political, and environmental developments beyond their immediate surroundings. This exposure to various viewpoints fosters a more informed and socially conscious mindset among youth.

However, the constant exposure to curated and often idealized versions of others’ lives on social media can also have negative consequences on youth mindset. The phenomenon of comparing one’s life to the highlight reels of others can lead to feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, and low self-esteem. The pressure to conform to societal beauty standards, popularity metrics, and unrealistic lifestyles can contribute to a distorted self-perception among the youth. As a result, mental health issues like depression and anxiety have become more prevalent among this demographic.

The algorithmic nature of social media platforms often leads to the creation of echo chambers, where young people are exposed to content that aligns with their existing beliefs and preferences. While this can provide a sense of validation and belonging, it can also reinforce narrow-mindedness and polarization. The lack of exposure to diverse viewpoints may hinder the development of critical thinking skills and the ability to engage in constructive debates. This phenomenon can result in a more dogmatic and inflexible mindset among the youth.

On the positive side, social media has been a powerful catalyst for youth activism and social change. Platforms like Twitter and Instagram have enabled young individuals to raise awareness about important issues, organize movements, and demand accountability from institutions and governments. The ability to mobilize and amplify voices on a global scale has given the youth a newfound sense of empowerment, influencing their mindset to be proactive in shaping the world around them.

In conclusion, social media has a significant and varied impact on young people’s attitude. In addition to opening doors for self-expression, global networking, and activism, it has also brought with it issues with divisiveness, mental health, and rapid pleasure. The influence of social media on young people’s attitude is a delicate balancing act between the advantages it presents and any potential drawbacks. It’s vital to inform and empower young people to use social media in ways that enhance their lives and foster a positive outlook as society negotiates this digital terrain.

15 years of international cricket for Virat Kohli

0
  • The young Virat Kohli made his debut in an ODI match against Sri Lanka on this day in 2008, marking his entrance into the international stage. Just a few months prior to the Sri Lanka series, Virat had recently added his name to the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup trophy and, like many U19 captains before him, had established a strong case for donning the Indian cap in the future by scoring 235 runs in six matches at an average of 47.00, including one century against the West Indies in the group stages.
  • With some incredible figures to his credit, Virat is regarded as one of the best batters the game has ever seen. He has amassed 12,898 runs at an average of 57.32 in 275 one-day internationals, including 46 centuries and 65 half-centuries in 265 innings, with a top score of 183.
  • Virat opened the batting against Sri Lanka with his Delhi teammate Gautam Gambhir, however they only managed to score 12 runs. With 159 runs scored in five games at an average of 31.80, the young player finished his maiden series with respectable stats. He reached his first fifty in the fifth ODI. Even his most ardent supporters found it difficult to believe the amount of success Virat would go on to achieve in the years to come, despite the fact that many thought he was destined for international glory due to his brilliance and U19 triumph.
  • Along with Australia’s Steve Smith, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, and England’s Joe Root, Kohli established himself as the model of consistency in every format, eventually joining the so-called “Fab Four” batting quartet of the modern era.
  • He has racked up 1,030 runs in 26 innings over 26 World Cup games, scoring at a 46.81 avg. His best score was 107, and he has two century and six fifties. Additionally, he has appeared in 13 ICC CT matches, amassing 529 runs at an average of 88.16, including five half-centuries in 12 innings. However, he has drawn criticism for his unreliable knockout match record.
  • Virat has skillfully combined conservatism and situation-based attacking to establish himself as a T20I behemoth in an era where the T20 format emphasises aggressive batting. He has scored 4,008 runs at an average of 52.73 and a strike rate of 137.96 in 115 T20 Internationals. With the highest score of 122*, he has one century and 37 half-centuries to his credit.
  • When pursuing in T20 World Cups, he records unbelievable stats. Virat has scored 518 runs with a batting average of 518.00 in nine victorious chases! Because he was only ever let go once while pursuing, this is the case. He has chased in seven innings, scoring half centuries.
  • Overall, Virat’s all-format statistics are astounding. Virat is perhaps the best all-format batsman of all time due to his consistency in terms of runs and appearances across all formats, especially with the introduction of T20I cricket and a heavier workload. He has 25,582 runs at an average of 53.63 in 501 games. He has accumulated 76 centuries, 131 fifties, and a top score of 254* in 559 innings of play.
  • Before retiring, Kohli will set even more incredible records, capping off a fantastic career.
