दिल्ली से अधिक प्रदूषित है कोयलांचल, एक दशक बाद तय मानक से पांच गुना अधिक, जेएसएमडीसी ने लोगों को सचेत किया

धनबाद: कोयलांचल की राजधानी धनबाद प्रदूषण के मामले में दिल्ली को भी पीछे छोड़ दिया है. पिछले एक दशक में कोयलांचल में पहली बार प्रदूषण का स्तर यानी एयर क्वालिटी इंडेक्स (एक्यूआइ) की सघनता 554 दर्ज की गई है। लेकिन सोमवार को 2011 से अधिक प्रदूषण का स्तर दर्ज होने के बाद प्रदूषण की भयावहता लोगों के दैनिक जीवन को बुरी तरह से प्रभावित करेगा. प्रदूषण के मामले में पीएम-2.5 का स्तर 544.2 और पीएम-10 का स्तर 554.9 शामिल था। यह राष्ट्रीय मानक 100 माइक्रोग्राम क्यूबिक मीटर (एमजीसीएम) से पांच गुना अधिक है। इससे पहले 2011 में केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड की ओर से जारी कंप्रिहेंसिव इंवायरमेंटल पाल्यूशन इंडेक्स (सेपी) का स्तर लगभग 500 दर्ज किया गया था। एक वर्ष तक प्रतिबंध रहने के बाद फिर स्थिति में थोड़ा सुधार आया था और तत्काल प्रभाव से धनबाद में सभी तरह के नए उद्योग लगाने पर रोक लगा दी गई थी। लेकिन यह नीति असरकारक साबित नहीं हुई.

एक्यूआइ की सघनता 300 से अधिक रहने की संभावना

झारखंड राज्य प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड के अनुसार अगले दो-तीन दिन तक एक्यूआइ की सघनता 300 से अधिक रहने की संभावना है। प्रदूषण की वजह से सोमवार को लोगों को सांस लेने में काफी परेशानी हुई। खासकर दमा एवं सर्दी-खांसी से ग्रसित लोग परेशान रहे। प्रदूषण बढ़ने का कारण हवा में काफी नीचे तक धूल-कणों का तैरना है। धुंध होने की वजह से धूलकण आसमान में नहीं जा पा रहे हैं। इसके साथ ही प्रदूषण का स्तर बढ़ने का कारण ठंड, हवा में मौजूद धूल कण, झरिया की आग, गाड़ियों से निकलने वाला धुआं और कोलियरी क्षेत्र में नियमों की अनदेखी कर हो रही कोयला ट्रांसपोर्टिंग है। शहर के कई इलाके ऐसे हैं, जहां सांस लेना भी मुश्किल हो गया है।

कई तरह की बीमारियों को देते हैं आमंत्रण  

झारखंड राज्य प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड के क्षेत्रीय पदाधिकारी रामप्रवेश कुमार ने बताया कि पीएम यानी पार्टिकुलेट मैटर, जो हवा धूलकण का आकार बताते हैं। इसके कण बेहद सूक्ष्म होते हैं जो हवा में तैरते हैं। हमारे शरीर के बाल पीएम 50 के आकार के होते हैं। इससे आसानी से अंदाजा लगाया जा सकता है कि पीएम-10 कितने बारीक कण होते होंगे। 24 घंटे में हवा में पीएम-10 की मात्रा 100 माइक्रोग्राम प्रति क्यूबिक मीटर से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए। इससे अधिक होने पर स्थिति खतरनाक मानी जाती है। हवा में मौजूद यही कण हवा के साथ हमारे शरीर में प्रवेश कर खून में घुल जाते हैं। इससे शरीर में कई तरह की बीमारियां हो सकती हैं। पीएम-10 के अंतर्गत हवा में सल्फर डाइआक्साइड, नाइट्रोजन डाइआक्साइड, ओजोन, आयरन, मैगनीज, बैरीलियम, निकल आदि तैरता है। सोमवार के दिन यही कण जमीन की सतह से काफी नजदीक तैर रहे थे।

झरियावासी तो रोज प्रदूषण खाते और पीते हैं

बताया गया कि ठंड में धूलकण हवा में कम ऊंचाई पर तैरते रहते हैं। प्रदूषित हवा सबसे अधिक फेफड़े को प्रभावित करती है। इसकी वजह से धनबाद में ब्रोंकाइटिस, दमा ट्यूबरक्लोसिस के मरीज अधिक हैं। प्रदूषित हवा से स्ट्रोक, इस्केमिक हृदय रोग, क्रानिक आब्सट्रक्टिव पल्मोनरी डिजीज, कैंसर, निमोनिया और मोतियाबिंद की बीमारी भी होती है। तापमान में गिरावट के कारण प्रदूषण और एलर्जी कारक तत्व वायुमंडल से हट नहीं पाते हैं। इससे अस्थमा, एलर्जी राइनाइटिस और अन्य एलर्जी विकार बढ़ जाते हैं। तापमान और ठंड में अचानक परिवर्तन के चलते, शुष्क हवा भी वायुमार्ग को संकुचित करती है, जिससे कष्टप्रद खांसी शुरू हो जाती है। लोगों से अपील की गई है कि प्रदूषित वातावरण में न रहें। अपने चेहरे पर फेस मास्क जरूर लगाएं। चेहरा ढंककर रखें। बीच-बीच में चेहरे को साफ पानी से धोते रहें। रोजाना गुड़ व गर्म दूध का सेवन करें। हालांकि कोयलांचल निवासी को प्रदूषण में जीने-मरने की आदत हो गई है. लोग कहते हैं कि झरिया निवासी तो आग के ऊपर रहने के आदी हैं, वे तो प्रतिदिन प्रदूषण खाते और पीते हैं.
