गिरिडीह : जिले के धनवार का इकलौता नौलखा डैम का मेढ़ टूटने से कई इलाकों में पानी भरने का खतरा मंडराने लगा है। बंगाल की खाड़ी में निम्न दवाब के कारण तीन दिनों के मुसलाधार बारिश एवं जारी अलर्ट के बीच दो दिनों से हो रहे मुसलाधार बारिश के कारण धनवार के इकलौते नौलखा डैम का मेढ़ रविवार को क्षतिग्रस्त होने से डैम से पानी निकल कर आसपास के इलाकों में गांवों में घुसना शुरू हो गया। नौलखा डैम से पानी निकल कर डैम से सटे राजा नदी में पानी का तेज बहाव और बाढ़ के हालात देख रविवार की सुबह स्थानीय ग्रामीणों में डैम से निकलते पानी को लेकर भय व्याप्त है। जानकारी मिलने के बाद रविवार को धनवार बीडीओ भी नौलखा डैम पहुंचे और पूरे हालात की जानकारी ली|
धनवार का इकलौता नौलखा डैम ब्रिटिश साम्राज्य की देन
बताते चलें कि जिले के धनवार का इकलौता नौलखा डैम ब्रिटिश साम्राज्य की देन है। ब्रिटिश शासन इस डैम का निर्माण 1938 में किया गया। जब 1963 में अकाल का सामना करना पड़ा, तो उस वक्त नौ लाख की लागत से इस डैम का टेंडर हुआ. इसी टेंडर के कारण इसका नाम नौलखा डैम के रूप में कर दिया गया और अब तक इसी डैम से धनवार के कई इलाकों के किसानों को सिंचाई के पानी मिलता रहा है, जबकि 25 पंचायत के गांवों को पेयजलापूर्ति की योजना भी इसी डैम के जरिए बनाया जा रहा था। लिहाजा, चार करोड़ के लागत से इस डैम का सौंदर्यीकरण का शिलान्यास कुछ महीने पहले धनवार के विधायक और भाजपा नेता बाबूलाल मरांडी द्वारा किए जाने के बाद रांची के अतुल कांट्रेक्टर एजेंसी ने कार्य भी शुरू कर दिया था। कार्य शुरू ही हुआ था कि मानसून के इसी दो दिन के बारिश के कारण डैम का मेढ़ टूट गया। इधर स्थानीय ग्रामीणों की मानें तो डैम का कार्य सही से हुआ रहता तो, धनवार के कई इलाकों को इसका फायदा होता। क्योंकि 40 हजार की आबादी को इसका फायदा मिलता। इधर डैम के मेढ़ के टूटने के बाद अब सीधे तौर पर अतुल एजेंसी निशाने पर है।
