As a SpiceJet employee gets held for slapping a CISF man at the airport and is accused of sexual harassment by the airline, counterclaims are made.

After an altercation regarding security screening at Jaipur airport, a SpiceJet employee is accused of slapping a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official, leading to her arrest on Thursday. Anuradha Rani, the employee, has been charged with assault by the police, but the airline has accused the CISF officer of sexual harassment.
The incident happened at 4 am, according to the police, when Rani—a female security staff member, according to the airline—and other staff members were entering the airport through the “vehicle gate.” An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) pulled her over for allegedly not having the authorization to use that gate.

Airport SHO in Jaipur When the disagreement got out of hand, a SpiceJet employee hit Ram Lal, who alleged that the ASI then called a female colleague in the CISF to perform the security check.

The employee “was subjected to inappropriate and unacceptable language by the CISF personnel, including asking her to come and meet him at his home after his duty hours,” according to a statement released by SpiceJet. The airline declared that it is devoted to giving its employee all of its assistance and that it stands by her.

But, CISF representatives refuted the claims of sexual harassment, referring to them as a “afterthought” because the airline rejected a cooperative solution and decided to report the incident to the police instead. The woman was seen striking the uniformed officer “despite no provocation,” according to CCTV evidence, they claimed.

In connection with assaulting a public servant, the police have filed a case against Rani under certain sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). In addition to a top CISF officer visiting the airport to assess the situation, a comprehensive investigation is underway.
