गुड न्यूज़: गिद्धों को पसंद आ रहा अपना हजारीबाग

सड़े- गले जीवों के मांस को खाकर सफाई करनेवाले अपमार्जक गिद्ध को हजारीबाग पसंद आ रहा है। पूरी दुनिया से गिद्ध 99 प्रतिशत समाप्त हो गए। वहीं हजारीबाग में प्राकृतिक अवस्था में गिद्ध अपना कुनबा बढ़ा रहे हैं। दुनिया भर में गिद्धों को बचाने के लिए कई स्तर पर प्रयास चल रहे हैं ।

दूसरे देश से बचाए गए गिद्ध हजारीबाग आ रहे हैं। नेपाल से सेटेलाइट टैग लगा गिद्ध हजारीबाग आया, सबसे ज्यादा हजारीबाग में ठहरा, फिर वापस चला गया। पिछले माह बांग्लादेश से सेटेलाइट टैग लगा गिद्ध हजारीबाग आया था। बीमार था और जब विष्णुगढ क्षेत्र में गिरा तो इसपर लगे टैग को लेकर लोगों में तरह-तरह की भ्रांतियां फैली। लेकिन हजारीबाग में वन्यप्राणी संरक्षण में कार्यरत संस्था नियो ह्यूमन फाउंडेशन ने इस भ्रांति को दूर किया और स्थानीय वन विभाग के साथ मिलकर गिद्ध का इलाज कराया। 26 दिनों बाद ठीक हो गया तो उसे फिर से खुले आसमान के लिए छोड़ दिया गया। कल ही गिद्ध जागरूकता दिवस बीता है। हजारीबाग में अच्छा करने का प्रयास जारी है और ऐसे प्रयासों की सराहना भी होनी ही चाहिए ।

एक ओर जहां गिद्ध विलुप्तप्राय होते जा रहे हैं, देशभर में इसके संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन के लिए सरकार द्वारा कई जगह एक्स सीटू कंजर्वेशन किया जा है वहीं हमारे हजारीबाग में ये उन्मुक्त गगन में विचरण करते हुए प्राकृतिक पर्यावास में अपना कुनबा बढ़ा रहे हैं। गिद्ध यूं तो सामान्य तौर पर हजारीबाग में दिखते ही हैं लेकिन कई अन्य देशों का सफ़र तय करके हजारीबाग सदर विधानसभा क्षेत्र स्थित कारकस डिस्पोजल साइट पर अलग- अलग जगह गिद्ध का दिखना सुखद संकेत है। यह बेहद जरूरी भी है। गिद्ध सड़े गले मृत पशुओं को खाकर कई तरह की महामारी बीमारियों जैसे कोलेरा, एंथैक्स, रैबिज इत्यादि से बचाते हैं और मनुष्य की सहायता करते हैं। इन्हें हजारीबाग में आशियाना बनाना और प्रवास करना भी अच्छा लगता है ।

भारतवर्ष में गिद्धों की 09 प्रजातियां पाई जाती है, जिसमें हजारीबाग में 03 प्रजातियां पाए गए हैं. गिद्ध के विलुप्ति का मुख्य कारण मवेशियों में प्रयोग होने वाला दर्द निवारक दवा डाइक्लोफेनेक हैं. अतः डाइक्लोफेनेक के जगह मेलोक्सीकेम का प्रयोग कर इनके संरक्षण में सहयोग किया जा सकता है. गिद्ध को वाइल्डलाइफ प्रोटेक्शन एक्ट 1972 के शेड्यूल- I में संरक्षण प्राप्त है और इसे नुकसान पहुंचाना कानूनन जुर्म है ।

गिद्धों के संरक्षण और जागरूकता के लिए कार्य कर रही हजारीबाग की NGO न्यू ह्यूमन फाऊंडेशन द्वारा हर साल इसकी गणना और पहचान की जाती है। गिद्ध का मृत्यु दर अधिक और प्रजनन दर बहुत कम है। एक जोड़ा गिद्ध साल में सिर्फ एक ही अंडे देते हैं और उसका प्रजनन करते हैं। गिद्ध संरक्षण की दिशा में हजारीबाग को फिलहाल प्रोविजनल सेफ जोन घोषित किया गया है। उम्मीद है कि गिद्धों की बढ़ती संख्या को देखते हुए आने वाले दिनों में इसे वल्चर सेफ जोन घोषित किया जा सकता है ।

हजारीबाग लोकसभा क्षेत्र के सांसद मनीष जायसवाल ने भी हजारीबाग में गिद्धों के संरक्षण और जागरूकता के लिए किए जा रहें प्रयासों की सराहना की और विशेषकर हजारीबाग लोक सभा क्षेत्र में बीमार होकर पड़े गिद्ध को स्वस्थ करके सुरक्षित छोड़े जाने पर गिद्ध संरक्षण में कार्यरत संस्था न्यू ह्यूमन फाऊंडेशन और वन विभाग को बधाई दिया। उन्होंने इस संबंध में अपने ऑफिशियल फेसबुक पेज में पोस्ट भी किया ।
