गिरिडीह : अपने बेहतर कार्यों की बदौलत गिरिडीह जिला ने एक बार फिर पूरे देश में अपना परचम लहराया है। नीति आयोग के प्रदर्शन मानक में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने के लिए गिरिडीह ज़िले को 3 करोड़ रुपये का पुरस्कार मिला है। दिसंबर 2023 में नीति आयोग के आकांक्षी ज़िला कार्यक्रम के तहत वित्तीय समावेशन और कौशल विकास में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया था। 

गिरिडीह ज़िले को राज्य व देश में मिली नई पहचान : डीसी 

गिरिडीह के उपायुक्त नमन प्रियेश लकड़ा ने कहा कि यह पुरस्कार जिला प्रशासन की मेहनत और प्रयासों तथा आमजनों के सकारात्मक सोच और विकास कार्यों में उनकी सहभागिता का परिणाम है. उपायुक्त ने कहा कि यह गिरिडीह जिला के लिए गर्व का क्षण है। इस पुरस्कार से गिरिडीह ज़िले को राज्य और देश में नई पहचान मिली है। पुरस्कार राशि का उपयोग जनकल्याणकारी परियोजनाओं को गति देने और लोगों के जीवन स्तर को बेहतर एवं सुदृढ़ बनाने के लिए किया जायेगा।

गौरतलब हो कि नीति आयोग आकांक्षी जिला कार्यक्रम के तहत शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य एवं पोषण, बुनियादी ढांचा, कृषि एवं जल संसाधन, वित्तीय समावेशन एवं कौशल विकास जैसे पांच प्रमुख क्षेत्रों में जिलों की प्रगति की निगरानी करता है। इन क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करनेवाले जिलों को प्रोत्साहन स्वरूप अतिरिक्त संसाधन (पुरस्कार राशि) प्रदान किये जाते हैं, ताकि विकास कार्यों को और अधिक प्रभावी रूप से संचालित किया जा सके।
