हजारीबाग में 26वाँ AGBJ का वार्षिक भूगोल सम्मेलन 11एवं 12 अक्टूबर 2025 को

10 मई 2025 को भूगोल विभाग, विभावि में AGBJ बिहार एवं झारखण्ड के भूगोलवेत्ताओं के संघ का स्थापना व्याख्यान सम्पन्न हुआ जिसमें मुख्य अतिथि विभावि के कुलपति प्रोफेसर दिनेश कुमार सिंह जी तथा मुख्य वक्ता प्रोफेसर ए आर सिद्धिकी, भूतपूर्व विभागाध्यक्ष, इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय थे। कुलपति ने अपने सम्बोधन में कहा कि भूगोलवेत्ताओं को कृषि तथा उद्योगों के विकास हेतु भूमि मानचित्र नये रूप से गढ़ना चाहिए। वहीं मुख्य वक्ता ” बिहार – झारखण्ड के संसाधनों के सम्पोषणीय उपयोग ” पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि दोनों राज्य उन राज्यों में शामिल हैं जो भारत के दो भागों में विभाजन करने वाली 82.5 डिग्री पूर्व अंक्षाश के पूर्व में है जहाँ संसाधन ही संसाधन है पर पिछड़े हैं । इनके संसाधनों का दोहन हेतु रिमोट सेंसिंग एवं जी आई एस जैसे तकनीकी से मानचित्रण करते हुए सम्पोषणीय विकास पर बल दिया जिससे भारत को 2047 तक एक विकसित देश बनाने में मदद मिलेगी ।
इस अवसर पर संघ के संरक्षक, प्रोफेसर आर बीपी सिंह पूर्व कुलपति पटना विश्वविद्यालय एवं नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय ने भूगोल विभागों में रिमोट सेंसिंग एवं जी आइ एस की पढ़ाई पर जोर दिया । संघ के अध्यक्ष प्रोफेसर एस एन चौधरी , संघ के सचिव प्रोफेसर एम के सिन्हा ने इस आयोजन हेतु सफल बनाने का सुझाव दिये । इससे पहले इस सम्मेलन के संयोजक भूगोल विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ सरोज कुमार सिंह ने अतिथियों का स्वागत भाषण तथा विषय प्रवेश कराते हुए कहा कि सौर ऊर्जा तथा अन्य नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा स्रोतों के उपयोग हेतु तकनीकी विकास कर जीवाश्म संसाधनों का सरताज कोयला जो ग्लोबल वार्मिंग के लिए जिम्मेवार है से बचा जा सकता है।
इस अवसर पर विद्यार्थियों में लोकप्रिय प्रोफेसर डा सुखदेव साहु, बी बी एम के विश्वविद्यालय, धनबाद द्वारा रचित पुस्तक “इवैल्युएशन ऑफ टेरेन्स फॉर एग्रिकल्चरल लैंडयूज ” का विमोचन हुआ। इस अवसर पर पूर्व विभागाध्यक्ष डा कमला प्रसाद, डा० ओ पी महतो, प्रेसीडेन्ट इलेक्ट डा० पी के सिंह तथा विभावि के समाजविज्ञान के संकायध्यक्ष डा सादिक राजाक एवं अन्य गणमान्य प्रोफेसर, शोधार्थी तथा एम ए के भूगोल के छात्र उपस्थित हुए।
26वाँ सम्मेलन के आयोजन सचिव डा रंजीत कुमार दास , भूगोत विभागाध्यक्ष मारखम कॉलेज ने आभारज्ञापन प्रस्तत किया।
