वामपंथ आंदोलन के जुझारु नेता व गिरिडीह के पूर्व विधायक ओमीलाल आजाद नहीं रहे, नेताओं ने कहा-वामपंथियों व मजदूरों में उनका नाम अमर रहेगा

काफी दिनों से बीमार चल रहे थे 78 वर्षीय आजाद, उनका अंतिम संस्कार शनिवार को होगा, वे अपने पीछे भरा-पुरा परिवार छोड़ गए हैं, शहर में शोक

गिरिडीह, कमल नयन: गिरिडीह इलाके में शुचिता की राजनीति के पक्षधर रहे वामपंथ राजनीति के जुझारू नेता और क्षेत्र के पूर्व विधायक भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता ओमीलाल आजाद का 78 वर्ष की उम्र में शुक्रवार को जमेशपुर में  निधन हो गया। वे अपने पीछे चार पुत्र, चार पुत्रियों समेत भरा-पूरा परिवार छोड़ गये हैं। पुत्र ने बताया कि वे काफी दिनों से बीमार चल रहे थे। उनका अंतिम संस्कार शनिवार को होगा।

सीपीआई के बैनर तले मजदूर आंदोलन में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई

ओमी लाल आजाद के सार्वजनिक जीवन की शुरुआत तब हुई जब वे 1966 में शिक्षक की नौकरी छोड़कर गिरिडीह कोर्ट में वकालत करने लगे एवं श्रम संगठनों से जुड़कर गिरिडीह इलाके में अबरख और कोयला मजदूरों के मुद्दों को लेकर प्रभावशाली ढंग से आंदोलन की अगुवाई करते रहे।
गिरिडीह में अपने तीखे तेवर के लिए जाने जाते थे. सत्तर के दशक में पूर्व वे केन्द्रीय कृषि मंत्री चतुरानन मिश्र के संपर्क में आए। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने सीपीआई के बैनर तले मजदूर आंदोलन में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई।

आजाद का गिरिडीह में राजनीतिक सफर

1967 में युनाईटेड कोल वर्कर्स यूनियन के सचिव बने। इसके अलावा सीपीआई के कई महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर रहे। 1985 में सीपीआई के टिकट पर गिरिडीह विस क्षेत्र से चुनाव लड़ा और जीते। 1990 में उन्हें पराजय का सामना करना पड़ा। लेकिन मजदूरों के मुद्दों को लेकर वे हरसमय मुखरता लड़ते-भिड़ते रहे।

उनके निधन पर झारखंड सरकार के मंत्री सुदिव्य कुमार, विधायक नगेन्द्र महतो, डा. मंजू कुमारी, पूर्व विधायक विनोद सिंह, निर्भय शाहाबादी, गिरिडीह नगर पर्षद के पूर्व चेयरमेन दिनेश यादव, सीपीआई के जिला सचिव देव शंकर मिश्र, फारर्वड ब्लॉक के वरीय नेता भाई राजेश यादव समेत कई श्रम संगठनों से जुड़े लोगों ने श्रद्धांजलि दी है और शोकसंवेदना प्रकट की.

नेताओं ने कहा-अब आजाद का स्थान शायद ही कोई भर पाए…!

नेताओं ने कहा कि भले वे जमशेदपुर में रहे लेकिन अपनी कर्मभूमि गिरिडीह के मजदूरों की समस्याओं को लेकर बातचीत करते रहते थे. शोक संवेदना प्रकट करते हुए नेताओं ने कहा कि हमेशा उनका मार्गदर्शन मिलता रहा.कहा कि गिरिडीह में वैसे मजदूर नेता अब नहीं रहे, इसलिए उनका स्थान शायद ही कोई भर पाए. लेकिन वामपंथियों और मजदूरों के एक बड़े वर्ग में उनका नाम अमर रहेगा.

अंतिम समय तक वह अपने जीवन से संघर्ष करते रहे

गिरिडीह के वरिष्ठ पत्रकार कमल नयन को एक बार अपने इंटरव्यू में उन्होंने कहा था सक्रिय राजनीति में आने का उनका मुख्य मकसद सामन्तवादी, पूंजीवादी, शोषण और सरकारी जुल्म के खिलाफ संघर्ष करना रहा है। आंदोलनों के क्रम में कई सारे मुकदमे हुए. कई बार वे जेल गए पर मजदूरों के हितों के लिए वे विचलित रहा करते थे. कहा जाता है कि अंतिम समय तक वह अपने जीवन से संघर्ष करते रहे.
