देवघर : ‘झारखण्ड शोध संस्थान’ का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल जाने-माने पर्यावरणविद् और डाक टिकट संग्रहकर्त्ता रजत मुखर्जी के नेतृत्व में उपायुक्त सह जिला दंडाधिकारी नमन प्रियेश लकड़ा से बुधवार को उनके कार्यालय कक्ष में मुलाकात की। इस अवसर पर संस्थान के सचिव और स्थानीय इतिहासकार उमेश कुमार ने पर्यटन, कला-संस्कृति, खेलकूद एवं युवा कार्य विभाग, झारखण्ड सरकार के सहयोग से प्रकाशित अपनी नवीनतम पुस्तक ‘वतनपरस्त’ (भाग-१: वैद्यनाथ की शहीद विभूति) की प्रथम प्रति उपायुक्त को भेंट स्वरूप प्रदान की।
उपायुक्त नमन प्रियेश लकड़ा ने पुस्तक में देवघर के स्थानीय इतिहास पर इस तरह के शोधपरक लेखन की सराहना की। साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि भावी पीढ़ी को अपने गौरवशाली इतिहास से परिचित कराने के लिए ऐसी पुस्तकें अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण हैं।
पुस्तक की विशेषताएं
इस पुस्तक में 1857 के सिपाही विद्रोह से लेकर 1942 के भारत छोड़ो आन्दोलन तक अपनी शहादत देने वाले देवघर के वीर सपूतों-सलामत अली, अमानत अली, शेख हारून, प्रफुल्ल चक्रवर्ती, अशर्फीलाल कसेरा, त्रिगुणानंद खवाड़े, विराजी मिरधाइन, नज्जू राउत और अयोध्या राउत के शौर्य को संजोया गया है। पुस्तक में न केवल उनकी वीरता, बल्कि उनके मनोवैज्ञानिक पहलुओं को भी उकेरने का प्रयास किया गया है। लेखक ने 1857 की क्रांति से जुड़े एकमात्र जीवित भौतिक साक्ष्य के जीर्णोद्धार के लिए डीसी से विशेष प्रार्थना की। साथ ही मुलाकात के दौरान संस्थान के निदेशक ने देवघर में एक ‘इतिहासघर’ (संग्रहालय) के लिए सरकारी भवन आवंटित करने का अनुरोध किया।
