एनएच-23 की बदहाल सड़क बनी हादसों का कारण, रेडवा से महुआडीपा तक पांच किलोमीटर में सैकड़ों गड्ढे, हर दिन जोखिम भरा सफर

बारिश में जलजमाव से सड़क और गड्ढों में फर्क करना मुश्किल, स्थानीय लोगों ने मरम्मत की उठाई मांग

गुमला : गुमला जिला अंतर्गत सिसई मुख्य सड़क पर एनएच-23 के रेडवा से महुआडीपा तक लगभग पांच किलोमीटर लंबा हिस्सा इन दिनों पूरी तरह जर्जर हो चुका है। सड़क पर जगह-जगह बने सैकड़ों छोटे-बड़े गड्ढों में बारिश का पानी भर जाने से सड़क और गड्ढे में अंतर कर पाना मुश्किल हो गया है। स्थानीय लोगों के अनुसार इसी कारण इस मार्ग पर आए दिन सड़क दुर्घटनाएं हो रही हैं, लेकिन संबंधित विभाग अब तक कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठा रहा है।

स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि रेडवा से कुदरा मोड़, चरका कंपाउंड होते हुए महुआडीपा तक सड़क की स्थिति अत्यंत खराब हो चुकी है। सड़क के दोनों किनारों पर कीचड़ और जलजमाव के कारण पैदल चलना भी मुश्किल हो गया है। विशेषकर बारिश के दिनों में वाहन चालकों को काफी परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ता है और कई बार गड्ढों का अनुमान नहीं लग पाने से दुर्घटनाएं हो जाती हैं।

बताया जाता है कि इस मार्ग से प्रतिदिन लगभग 150 यात्री बसों सहित सैकड़ों छोटे-बड़े वाहनों का आवागमन होता है। फोरलेन सड़क निर्माण के बाद पुराने एनएच-23 की मरम्मत नहीं होने से यह मार्ग पूरी तरह जर्जर हो चुका है। सड़क पर बने गड्ढे अब लोगों के लिए जानलेवा साबित हो रहे हैं।

सिसई रेफरल अस्पताल के समीप भी सड़क की स्थिति बेहद खराब है। बारिश होने पर अस्पताल के सामने पानी और कीचड़ भर जाता है, जिससे मरीजों, परिजनों और एंबुलेंस तक को आने-जाने में भारी कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है।

स्थानीय लोगों का आरोप है कि एनएचआई और संबंधित विभाग की उदासीनता के कारण सड़क की स्थिति लगातार बिगड़ती जा रही है। उनका कहना है कि कुदरा मोड़ और चरका कंपाउंड के समीप सड़क किनारे बनी नालियों को कुछ दुकानदारों द्वारा बंद कर दिए जाने से पानी की निकासी नहीं हो पाती, जिसके कारण सड़क पर जलजमाव बना रहता है और सड़क तेजी से क्षतिग्रस्त होती जा रही है।

ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि इस सड़क का निर्माण वर्ष 1952 में कच्ची सड़क के रूप में किया गया था। वर्ष 1955 में इस पर पत्थर बिछाए गए, 1972 में पक्की सड़क बनी और 1980 में इसका पुनर्निर्माण हुआ। वर्ष 2004-05 में भी सड़क खराब होने पर मरम्मत कराई गई थी। फोरलेन बाईपास निर्माण के दौरान निर्माण एजेंसी आरकेडी कंस्ट्रक्शन द्वारा पुराने एनएच-23 की मरम्मत कराने का आश्वासन दिया गया था, लेकिन करीब ढाई वर्ष बीत जाने के बाद भी सड़क की मरम्मत नहीं हो सकी।

स्थानीय लोगों ने जिला प्रशासन, एनएचआई और संबंधित विभाग से अविलंब सड़क की मरम्मत, जल निकासी की समुचित व्यवस्था तथा गड्ढों को भरने की मांग की है। लोगों का कहना है कि यदि समय रहते सड़क की मरम्मत नहीं कराई गई तो भविष्य में और भी गंभीर सड़क दुर्घटनाएं हो सकती हैं।
