PM ने पेट्रोल-डीजल पर राज्यों को वैट घटाने की नसीहत दी, नागरिकों को लाभ नहीं देकर राजस्व कमाया

पेट्रोल-डीजल की बढ़ी कीमतों पर बुधवार को पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने संज्ञान लिया. उन्होंने राज्यों को वैट घटाने की नसीहत दे डाली. पीएम ने कहा कि वैश्विक परिस्थितियों के बीच केंद्र सरकार ने पिछले साल नवंबर में ही पेट्रोल-डीजल पर एक्साइज ड्यूटी घटा दी थी। लेकिन कई राज्यों ने ऐसा नहीं किया है। उन्होंने राज्यों से आग्रह किया कि वैश्विक चुनौती की इस घड़ी में केंद्र और राज्यों को साथ मिलकर चलने की जरूरत है। कोरोना महामारी पर हुई बैठक में कई राज्यों के सीएम को संबोधित करते हुए पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि राज्यों ने पेट्रोल-डीजल पर वैट नहीं घटाकर अपने नागरिकों को लाभ नहीं दिया और राजस्व कमाया है।

राज्यों ने छह माह की देरी कीः पीएम
पीएम ने राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों से कहा कि देशहित में पिछले नवंबर में जो करना था उसमें अब 6 महीने की देरी हो गई है। वैट कम करके जनता को इसका लाभ दें। भारत सरकार के पास जो रेवेन्यू आता है उसका 42 फीसदी हिस्सा राज्यों के पास ही चला जाता है। वैश्विक संकट के समय एक टीम के रूप में काम करने की जरूरत है। पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूत करने के लिए केंद्र राज्यों के बीच सामंजस्य जरूरी है। युद्ध की परिस्थिति पैदा होने से सप्लाई चेन प्रभावित हुई है। ऐसे माहौल में चुनौतियां बढ़ रही हैं। कुछ राज्यों ने वैट घटाया लेकिन कुछ राज्यों ने वैट नहीं घटाकर अपने राज्य के लोगों को लाभ नहीं दिया। इस वजह से इन राज्यों में दूसरे राज्यों के मुकाबले पेट्रोल-डीजल की कीमतें ज्यादा हैं।

पीएम ने कई राज्यों के नाम भी लिए

उन्होंने कहा कि जो राज्य टैक्स में कटौती करते हैं उन्हें राजस्व की हानि होती है। गुजरात और कर्नाटक ने टैक्स कम किया है। गुजरात ने टैक्स कम नहीं किया होता तो उसे भी साढ़े 3 हजार करोड़ से ज्यादा का राजस्व मिलता। वहीं कुछ राज्यों ने वैट में कमी नहीं करके इस दौरान साढ़े 3 हजार से साढ़े 5 हजार रुपये तक अतिरिक्त राजस्व की कमाई कर ली। पीएम मोदी यहीं नहीं रुके उन्होंने राज्यों का नाम लेकर उन्हें सुना दिया। पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि मैं किसी की आलोचना नहीं प्रार्थना कर रहा हूं। महाराष्ट्र, पश्चिम बंगाल, तेलंगाना, आंध्र प्रदेश, केरल, तमिलनाडु और झारखंड ने किसी न किसी कारण से केंद्र की सलाह को नहीं माना। अब आपसे सबसे आग्रह है कि वैट कम करके जनता को इसका लाभ दें.
