On the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, actor Rashami Desai discusses why she felt pressured to respond to trolls in a video.

Rashami Desai felt she had to respond in some way to the continual bullying she was receiving on social media, where some individuals were advising her how to live her life and even attacking her family. The actor tells us she can ignore trolling if it doesn’t affect her and questions why she should include her family in the “filthy mess of the virtual world.”

“To all the jobless people out there, I want to tell you all please don’t pick on my mother and father,” Desai said in a recent short video that she posted on the social media platform X. My life is at stake, and I know what I’m doing.

The Uttaran actor discusses the incident and notes that, regardless of one’s profession—actor, businessperson, or politician—trolling appears to have become commonplace and is a fairly risky practise.

“In my situation, everyone (on social media) comes and comments on my life, which causes discomfort in the lives of individuals close to me. Recent abuse of my mother in a tweet by another user inspired me to post the video. Everyone is giving me advice and then making crude comments about my family. The 37-year-old claims that after reading what she had, she felt horrible and decided to stop.

The star acknowledges that it was about time she stopped letting ignorant bullies control her life. “I am acting with knowledge. I’ve been putting in a lot of effort. I am a self-made lady who can make my own decisions. Despite the fact that I respect their care, it started to seem rude. Every artist actually understands how to deal with their fanbase. And I had to completely halt the criticism and hate. It is unfair to humiliate my parents and drag my family around while trolling. People must cease being cruel and so narrow-minded, the actor continues.

The former Bigg Boss contestant acknowledges that she can make mistakes and is receptive to feedback. “However, when those who have learned from my error start advising me that I should not have done that. She chuckles, “I just say, ‘Thank you for your care,’ and I go on.

Desai looks to her profession to help her maintain her detachment since it keeps her away from the negative aspects of social media.

“We’re unable to stop trolls. The majority of the time, people will have something to say. They may despise you or adore you. Furthermore, I receive a lot of love from everyone, which cannot be denied. Although I don’t anticipate there being no trolling, I do anticipate a cap on it. Although I typically ignore trolls, there are occasions when you have to assist others understand that you don’t want people to disparage your loved ones. I replied while I was standing there, “I don’t feel comfortable with it.”

I answered, ‘I’m not comfortable with it,’ he continued. Now, I believe it was the first time on a set that folks weren’t anticipating a male to say that. Why do you suppose I’m too prepared? Why do you think I should be ok? Due to the girl in question’s personality and the provided brief, she was persuaded. The brief was not presented to me, and it was never brought up. The type of choreography that was made me uneasy.

Ali claimed that he remained true to his original decision not to do the scenario. Since everyone was saying, “Tu toh launda hai yaar, isko kya problem ho rahi hai,” he claimed that he felt “cornered” for the first time. (He is a man. What is his issue?)  Everyone is focusing on me. I think I experienced something that women have felt for years and decades for the first time.

The actor praised the use of intimacy coordinators on set. He said that having them will help to create a secure and welcoming work atmosphere.

Imran Khan has written a lengthy blog post about his 2013 movie Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara in which he also gave praise to his co-stars Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar. While the protagonists are gangsters, the plot is fully driven by the love story, not police and robbers stuff. Despite being seen and marketed as a gangster movie, I had always considered it as a tragic romance. Anil Kapoor (Mashaal) and Jackie Shroff (Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri) in their 1980s best inspired me much in terms of styling because I was so enthused about the throwback feel of the movie. I tried to look real by growing out my sideburns and moustache, but it was unsuccessful.

Shah Rukh Khan provides an update on his next movie Dunki, which is once again one of his most eagerly awaited movies of 2023, at the Jawan Success event.
