बिरनी – परिवार कल्याण दिवस के अवसर पर गुरुवार को सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र (सीएचसी) बिरनी में एक दिवसीय परिवार नियोजन मेले का आयोजन किया गया। इस मेले का उद्घाटन चिकित्सा पदाधिकारी डॉ. ताजुद्दीन और बीपीएम जयशंकर प्रसाद ने संयुक्त रूप से फीता काटकर किया।
मेले में जनसंख्या नियंत्रण और परिवार नियोजन पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया। इस दौरान, गर्भ-निरोधक के स्थायी और अस्थायी तरीकों की जानकारी देने के लिए कुल छह काउंटर स्थापित किए गए थे। इन काउंटरों पर ऑरल पिल्स (माला एन), कॉन्डम, कॉपर टी, एजी पिल्स और अंतरा इंजेक्शन जैसी अस्थायी विधियों के बारे में स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों द्वारा जानकारी दी गई।
मेले में लोगों को स्थायी गर्भ-निरोधक विधियों जैसे महिलाओं के लिए बंध्याकरण और पुरुषों के लिए नसबंदी के बारे में जागरूक किया गया। प्रभारी चिकित्सा पदाधिकारी डॉ. ताजुद्दीन ने बताया कि कई लोग आपातकालीन गर्भ-निरोधक छाया के बारे में अनभिज्ञ हैं। छाया गोली में हार्मोन नहीं होने के कारण यह अन्य गर्भ-निरोधक गोलियों के दुष्प्रभावों से मुक्त है, जैसे उल्टी, वजन बढ़ना, उच्च रक्तचाप, और सूजन। हालांकि, इसका उपयोग करने से पहले चिकित्सक की सलाह लेना अनिवार्य है।
इस अवसर पर बीपीएम जयशंकर प्रसाद, लैब टेक्नीशियन नवीन शर्मा, फार्मासिस्ट पंकज सिंह, बीटीटी सुलेखा प्रसाद, सहिया साथी गुनवनती, मुन्नी, एमपीडब्ल्यू हरि प्रसाद हेम्ब्रम, चिकित्सा पदाधिकारी डॉ. प्रवीण अग्रवाल, एएनएम विनीता कुमारी, संजीदा प्रवीण, पप्पू कुमार, पंकज शर्मा, राजेन्द्र पासवान, हरि दास, ज़ियाउल, संगीता समेत अन्य चिकित्सा कर्मी उपस्थित थे।
यह मेला जनसंख्या नियंत्रण और परिवार नियोजन की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रयास साबित हुआ।
