Ranchi Administration Takes Immediate Action
The Ranchi District Administration has taken decisive action against the Medicana Nursing Home, located on Khalari Road in Bijupada, Chanho. The registration of this ultrasound center has been canceled with immediate effect by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Ranchi, Rahul Kumar Sinha.
Details of the Order
According to an official statement from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the registration of Medicana Nursing Home has been revoked due to serious concerns. The order mandates the immediate cessation of all ultrasound activities at the facility. Additionally, the nursing home has been explicitly instructed not to tamper with or relocate the ultrasound machines. Failure to comply with these orders will result in action under the PC & PNDT Act.
Reasons Behind the Cancellation
The order highlights that the owner and practicing doctor at Medicana Nursing Home, Dr. Ishtiyaq Ahmed, has been associated with serious allegations. As per reports published in various newspapers, security agencies of the Government of India have linked Dr. Ahmed to terrorist activities. In light of these accusations, the registration of the nursing home, registered under number 565/2023, has been annulled immediately.
This action reflects the Ranchi administration’s strict adherence to regulatory standards and its commitment to ensuring that healthcare facilities operate within the bounds of the law.
