केवल शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य के लिए नहीं, मानसिक एकाग्रता और संतुलन बनाने का कौशल: पद्मश्री, उदय विश्वनाथ देशपांडे
विनोबा भावे विश्वविद्यालय, हजारीबाग में शुक्रवार को ‘फिट इंडिया वीक’ के अंतर्गत मल्लखंब कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें पद्मश्री उदय विश्वनाथ देशपांडे, हूनरबाज देश की शान-2022 के विजेता आकाश सिंह, और साक्षी संदेश मांजरेकर ने अपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया।
कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता माननीय कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) पवन कुमार पोद्दार ने की, जबकि मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में बिनोद बिहारी महतो कोयलांचल विश्वविद्यालय के माननीय कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) राम कुमार सिंह उपस्थित रहे। विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में पद्मश्री उदय विश्वनाथ देशपांडे और बीएसएफ, हजारीबाग के सेकंड-इन-कमांड सुरेंद्र मलिक ने कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई।
पद्मश्री उदय विश्वनाथ देशपांडे, जिन्हें ‘मल्लखंब के पितामह’ के रूप में जाना जाता है, ने इस प्राचीन भारतीय खेल को वैश्विक मंच पर पहचान दिलाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। उन्होंने 50 से अधिक देशों में 5,000 से अधिक लोगों को मल्लखंब का प्रशिक्षण दिया है।
अपने संबोधन में देशपांडे जी ने कहा, “मल्लखंब न केवल शारीरिक शक्ति और लचीलापन बढ़ाने में सहायक है, बल्कि यह मानसिक एकाग्रता और संतुलन को भी प्रोत्साहित करता है। इसका नियमित अभ्यास युवाओं को शारीरिक और मानसिक रूप से सशक्त बनाता है।”
नोडल अधिकारी डॉ. उमेंद्र सिंह ने कहा, “फिट इंडिया मूवमेंट के तहत मल्लखंब जैसे पारंपरिक खेलों का पुनरुत्थान हमारे सांस्कृतिक धरोहर को संजोने के साथ-साथ युवाओं के स्वास्थ्य के लिए भी लाभकारी है।”
कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) पवन कुमार पोद्दार ने अपने वक्तव्य में कहा, “विश्वविद्यालय में मल्लखंब जैसे कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन छात्रों के सर्वांगीण विकास में सहायक है और यह हमारी सांस्कृतिक विरासत को जीवित रखने का एक प्रयास है।”
मुख्य अतिथि प्रो. (डॉ.) राम कुमार सिंह ने कहा, “मल्लखंब जैसे खेल न केवल शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य के लिए महत्वपूर्ण हैं, बल्कि ये मानसिक दृढ़ता और आत्मविश्वास को भी बढ़ावा देते हैं।”
कार्यक्रम के अंत में डॉ. विकास कुमार, डीन स्टूडेंट्स वेलफेयर, ने सभी अतिथियों, प्रतिभागियों और उपस्थित जनों का धन्यवाद ज्ञापित करते हुए कहा, “हम आपके सहयोग और समर्थन के लिए हृदय से आभारी हैं, जिन्होंने इस कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।”
इस अवसर पर बॉर्डर सिक्योरिटी फोर्स से आमंत्रित अतिथि, विश्वविद्यालय के पदाधिकारी, शिक्षक एवं विद्यार्थी बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित हुए।
