जिले के विभिन्न प्रखंडों एवं क्षेत्रों में बायोफोर्टिफाइड कैल्शियम फिंगर मिलेट बीज का वितरण ।

गुमला – ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के मार्गदर्शन मे राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण आजीविका मिशन (NRLM) के तहत विशिष्ट जनजातीय समुदाय (PVTG) के बीच पोषणता की कमी को दूर करने हेतु बायोफोर्टिफाइड बीज से कृषि और उसके उपभोग को बढ़ावा देने के लिये JSLPS को महत्वपूर्ण जिम्मेदारी दी गई है।

इसके तहत 6 क्विंटल बायोफोर्टिफाइड कैल्शियम फिंगर मिलेट का बीज ICRISAT तथा हार्वेस्ट प्लस के सौजन्य से JSLPS , गुमला को उपलब्ध कराया गया है।

इसी परिप्रेक्ष्य में बायोफोर्टिफाइड कैल्शियम फिंगर मिलेट बीज का वितरण गुमला जिला के घाघरा, बिशुनपुर , डुमरी और चैनपुर प्रखंडों से चिन्हित 100 विशिष्ट जनजातीय परिवारों को प्रखंड विकास पदाधिकारी की उपस्थिति में शुक्रवार को किया गया है।

बायोफोर्टिफाइड बीज की कृषि में तकनीकी सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए HARVEST PLUS को नोडल एजेंसी बनाया गया है।

बीज वितरण कार्यक्रम में उपरोक्त प्रखंड से विशिष्ट जनजातीय परिवारों के सदस्य, JSLPS तथा महिला विकास मंडल के कर्मिगणों की उपस्थिति रही।
